Untold Stories Theatre is seeking performers in Calgary and the surrounding area with all backgrounds and experience levels to submit for Set List.

ABOUT THE CONCERT

Set List is a fundraiser concert celebrating the talent in Calgary's theatre community and raising money for our 2024/2025 season. The concert will feature local Calgarian performers - old and new - singing the songs that they love!

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

All auditioners are asked to submit a video of:

• A 16 - 32 bar cut of a musical theatre song that you love to sing and would like to perform in the concert, as well as a short introduction of yourself.

  • The song you choose to sing, as well as the spare one you list on the form, should be songs that you are familiar with and would feel comfortable performing in front of an audience with little guidance from the production team.

  • Performers should be in possession of a backing track that can be used for the performance. If you do not have a full backing track for your song, please inform us on the audition form.

• Fill out the audition form and submit your video link here

  • Please upload your video to YouTube as an unlisted link.

• We are looking to cast approximately 27-30 performers for this show.

  • All auditioners will be considered for both solo songs as well as duet/small group numbers. Songs, groups, and performers selected for the concert are a reflection of the flow and needs of the concert and not of the talent of any performers involved.

  • All cast members will participate in the opening and closing numbers, solo’s will be assigned and you will be taught harmonies, choreography, and, blocking for these two numbers.

Due to the limited rehearsal schedule, all cast members should be available for 90% of the rehearsals (although you will not be called to all rehearsals) and must be available for the tech day and all shows. The team will do their best to accommodate some conflicts, but be advised that it may affect casting choices for this show. Please review the production dates to ensure you are able to commit to the show.
