Skills We’re Looking For

While all backgrounds are welcome, experience in the following areas would be a strong asset:

• Accounting, bookkeeping, or financial management

• Grant writing, fundraising, or funding development

• Legal expertise (non-profit, governance, contracts, or compliance)

• Human resources, people management, or organizational development

Additional skills that would be an asset:

• Experience serving on a non-profit or volunteer board

• Strategic thinking and long-term planning skills

• Governance, policy development, or risk management experience

• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

• Relationship-building, networking, or community engagement experience

• A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute time and expertise

• A passion for theatre, the arts, and supporting inclusive storytelling

We are especially interested in candidates who can bring diverse perspectives, professional insight, and a collaborative spirit to our organization. We value a balance of expertise and lived experience, and we encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds and experience levels to apply.

All board members MUST be 18+.

Commitment

Our board requires a small commitment:

• We meet every six weeks in person for meetings that typically last around 2-3 hours.

  • While in person is the preferred option, virtual meeting options can be accomodated.

• It is expected that board members are available to help with tasks, as assigned, in the two weeks prior to each production. This could include but is not limited to: marketing, volunteer management, front of house, etc.

What to Expect

Selected candidates will be invited to participate in a brief online interview with members of the current Board of Directors. This is an opportunity for us to connect, answer questions, and ensure a good mutual fit.
