PRODUCTION DATES

Auditions        

Online submissions will be accepted from November 25th - December 6th, 2024 11:59 p.m.

• December 7th is when Casting decisions will be made. Directors and Music Directors MUST be available on this day (a time will be determined based on the availability of those involved).

Rehearsals          

February 2nd - 18th, 2024

• Tuesdays & Thursdays: 7 p.m. - 10 p.m.

• Sundays: 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.

  • Not all team members will be required at all rehearsals, however conflicts may affect decisions.

Tech Day

February 20th, 2023

• 6 p.m. - 11 p.m.

Untold Stories Theatre is seeking select production team members in Calgary and the surrounding area with all backgrounds and experience levels to submit for Set List: A Fundraiser Concert.

ABOUT THE CONCERT

Set List is a fundraiser concert celebrating the talent in Calgary's theatre community and raising money for our 2025/2026 season. The concert will feature local Calgarian performers - old and new - singing the songs that they love!

Come support local theatre and enjoy a night full of incredible talent!

We are seeking to fill the roles of:

• Directors*

  • There will be 2-3 directors who will work on this show (mentored by our Artistic Director’s on Untold’s process).

  • Directors will be in charge of casting the show, picking the songs, and blocking/guiding the cast during their songs.

  • To apply for a Director position, you must have worked with Untold Stories Theatre (in any capacity) in the past.

• Music Director(s)*

  • In charge of teaching the cast two group numbers.

  • Will have one-on-ones with each soloist/duo/small group to offer vocal feedback on their number. This may involve teaching some harmonies to duos and small groups.

  • Music Directors will also assist in casting the show!

• Choreographer*

  • In charge of helping the directors choreograph the opening and closing numbers.

• Stage Manager

• Assistant Stage Manager

• Lighting Designer/Operator

  • We are looking for an operator who is comfortable working with the venue’s house plot and is able to program/run a simple show in one day (as we only have one day of tech).

• Sound Designer/Operator

  • We are looking for an operator who is comfortable and is able to program/run a simple show in one day (as we only have one day of tech).

  • A sound mentor is available to assist with this role.

*Directors, Music Directors, and Choreographers are welcome to audition for the show if they’d like to perform in the concert. Please note, all participants MUST audition no matter their involvement with the show or Untold Stories Theatre.

Select candidates may be asked to have an online meeting with the directors in order for us to get to know them better. Whether or not you receive a meeting request does not impact your running to be selected for the production team.
